I serien “undervurderte, glemte eller av andre grunner alt for lite spillte låter” drar jeg denne gangen frem en av Danzig sine låter “Mother”

Danzig(i realiteten Glenn Danzig`s personlige prosjekt) er ikke veldig kjent utenfor metalmiljøet, stor skam spør du meg-riktignok er mye av musikken relativt tung, men det er mye bra melodiøs metal innimellom som absolutt hadde fortjent mer plass i lyset. Musikken beskrives ofte som «bluesmetal» og er tydelig inspåirert av Black Sabbath. Man skal dog ikke legge skjul på at både oppførselen til Danzig og det faktum at musikkvideoene hans generelt ser ut til å være laget i tung fleinsopprus kan ha noe med populariteten å gjøre….mye bra musikk er det uansett, og «Mother» er min favoritt!
Glenn Danzig var tidlig i karrieren med i det glimrende punkbandet The Misfits (kjent mest fra låta «Last caress» som Metallica har covret med stor suksess)

FunFact: Åpningssporet til filmen «The Hangover» er Danzigs «Thirteen» og han skal også åpne The HAngover part two(2011) med «Black Hell»
